This
WFMW actually comes courtesy of my mom- this was her idea. My little guy is 10 months old and loves nothing more than feeding himself. He loves Cheerios, carrots, cereal bars, fruit of all kinds- if he can pick it up,
smoosh it around and get it into his mouth, he's happy! This is fine at home when he has a huge high chair tray to work with, but what to do when you're out in public and a little worried about him eating right off the table?
A Glad
Press'n Seal®
place mat, of course! According to the Glad
website, "While other wraps cling,
Press'n Seal® wrap actually seals to a variety of surfaces including paper, plastic, and wood." So basically, you just tear off a length of the wrap, slap it down on the table, apply a little pressure, and you have a
place mat that your little one can't pull off and fling across the room. In all fairness, Tyler did try to peel the edge off the table, but it was a slow process that I could manage and distract him from, not an all out fling as with a plate or normal
place mat. I was even able to seal the wrap around the edge of the table- top and bottom- to keep a clean surface for him.

ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT idea! Wish I'd have thought of that when Midget was little!
